Mayor Darío Moreno meets new rector of University of Valencia
Sagunto's mayor, Darío Moreno, held his first meeting with the new rector of the University of Valencia (UV), Juan Luis Gandía, to explore ways for the two institutions to work together.
The meeting, held in the rector's office at the University of Valencia, was used to set out shared priorities between Sagunto City Council and the university, with the aim of continuing joint projects of interest to the town. It was the first contact between Darío Moreno and Juan Luis Gandía, who became UV rector this academic year.
Also attending were Sagunto's Councillor for Science, Innovation and University Affairs, Toni Iborra, and the university's new general manager, Daniel Serisola. Gandía takes over the role after serving as vice-rector for Economy and Infrastructure at the Faculty of Economics, management experience he now brings to leading the university.
