Faura closes Vicent Garcés music series with soprano Carmen Bosó recital
In Faura, a town neighbouring Sagunto in Camp de Morvedre, soprano Carmen Bosó -a finalist on TV contest 'Aria, locos por la ópera'- closes the 'Vicent Garcés' music series this Saturday with a free recital in Plaza del Hostal.
The recital, titled 'On naix una veu' (Where a voice is born), starts at 11pm in the Plaza del Hostal (main square), free entry, with Aida Velert on piano. It marks Bosó's return to the town where she lives, a notable moment in her career after the TV contest. Born in Puçol, she began singing lessons at 16, trained with top grades at the Joaquín Rodrigo Conservatory in Valencia, and later completed a Master's in Operatic Performance with honours. Velert trained at the Marshall Academy in Barcelona and the Valencia Conservatory, worked with the Valencia University Choir, and was resident pianist of the regional youth orchestra; she now teaches piano repertoire at the same conservatory. Faura's mayor, Consol Duran, said this year's series has been shaped by artists linked to the town, with three of its four recitals dedicated to local talent.
