elrow Horroween festival in Sagunto 2026: over 20,000 attendees, €3.6 million impact
More than 20,000 people attended the elrow Horroween festival in Sagunto on 31 October, and the promoters want to return in 2027. The organisers put the economic impact at €3.6 million.
Of the people who went through the Recinto Internúcleos (the festival grounds) on Saturday 31 October, 1,683 tickets belonged to residents of Sagunto, according to the promoters' figures. Taking 20,000 attendees as a reference, that is around 8%. The rest of the tickets were spread across other Valencian towns and other provinces: Valencia province accounted for 67.7%, and buyers came from 50 Spanish provinces, so almost a third of the tickets went to people from outside the province.
The event was elrow Horroween Festival Winamax Valencia, and it was the first time the festival was held at the Recinto Internúcleos in Sagunto. It lasted eleven hours, from 15:00 to 02:00, with three stages and Halloween decoration, and the organisers present it as the brand's return to the Valencian Community. The figure of more than 20,000 attendees comes from the organisers themselves; there is no independent count for now.
That figure is below the capacity with which the city council presented the event in August: more than 25,000 people. A capacity is a ceiling and not a sales forecast, and the promoters' report does not explain the gap between the two numbers.
For local residents, access worked differently from the rest of the public. Those registered on Sagunto's municipal register had a 50% discount, checked against their DNI (Spanish ID card), with one discounted ticket per resident, personal and non-transferable. Presale started on 2 September and general sale on 3 September. elrow also worked with the federations of peñas (local festival associations) of Sagunto and Puerto de Sagunto (coastal district) so that the offer reached more people in the municipality.
On the line-up, the Horroween stage brought together Nic Fanciulli, The Martinez Brothers and Paco Osuna, who closed the stage with house and tech-house sets. Industry City x Monegros went for a harder sound: a live set by AEREA, hardgroove from Ben Sims and a joint set by Blawan and Elli Acula; the closing went to Andrés Campo, who improvised a back to back (the two DJs take turns choosing the music) with Daria Kolosova. The third space, Avenida Desperados, featured Baum, Duytsche, Llori and Paula Fields.
The running order changed on the day itself, as elperiodicodeaqui.com reported on 31 October. The main stage opened two hours later than in the original programme and its first sets were reshuffled, although the headliners kept their slots. Industry City x Monegros opened earlier, with Ian Margalef from 15:00 to 16:00, and Avenida Desperados started later, with Baum at 16:00.
Costumes were part of the show: vampires, witches, zombies, skeletons, sinister nuns and horror-film characters mixed with elrow's performers. Masks, make-up and outfits spread the theme across the whole site.
Before the festival, the city council had announced a mobility plan: bus line D every 20 minutes from 14:00, a Bus Nit (night bus) every 30 minutes and a large Local Police deployment to manage traffic throughout the day.
On the economic side, the organisers estimate the impact at €3.6 million and say hundreds of professionals, workers and suppliers were involved in the preparation and running of the event. The report does not break down how much of that amount stays with businesses in Sagunto.
For readers who do not know the brand: elrow took that name in 2010 and has since staged travelling parties around the world; according to the company itself, by 2019 it had held more than 150 events in 67 cities in 35 countries. The family's history in nightlife goes back to the Café Josepet in Fraga, opened in 1870, and the company moved to Barcelona, where the Row sessions started at the Nick Havanna club.
The promoters want to keep the event in Sagunto in 2027 and consolidate their place in the electronic music calendar, but they have not announced a date. Until they do, attendance, where the audience came from and the economic impact all rest on the organisers' own figures.
