Sagunto completes upgrade of Neptuno square in Almardà district
Sagunto City Council has finished improvement works on the square on Calle Neptuno, in Almardà, with an investment of almost €65,000.
Children in Almardà now have a renovated play area on Calle Neptuno square, after Sagunto City Council completed refurbishment works there. The new design includes updated swings and play structures, plus impact-absorbing rubber flooring designed to cushion falls and improve safety for younger children.
Beyond the play area, the council has redesigned access to the square: a step-free path now connects the street to the play area, making it easier for people with reduced mobility, pushchairs or older residents to get around. The square's street furniture — benches and bins — has also been replaced with new models.
The total cost of the works comes to €64,569, tax included, funded through the 2026 Participatory Budget, the scheme through which Sagunto sets aside part of its municipal budget for residents themselves to decide how it is spent.
