Sagunto City Council is staging a roaming fire, percussion and music show along Avenida del Mediterráneo in Puerto de Sagunto (coastal district) this Tuesday, starting at 22:30 and ending with fireworks by Pirotecnia Turís at exactly 23:59.

The Avenida del Mediterráneo in Puerto de Sagunto — from the anchor roundabout to the paved car park — will host Sagunto's official Nit de Sant Joan (Midsummer Night) celebrations on 23 June 2026. The programme opens at 22:30 with a roaming performance by La Diabòlica de Morvedre (local fire-arts troupe) and drumming group Green Gos, closing at 23:59 with a fireworks display by Pirotecnia Turís.

The municipal safety plan deploys 56 Municipal Police officers and 9 lifeguards across the beaches of Puerto de Sagunto, Almardà and Corinto, on duty until 04:00. Two ambulance crews and a Punto Violeta (harassment and assault support point) will also be on site.

Nit de Sant Joan — marked on the night of 23–24 June since at least the 15th century, combining midsummer rites with the Christian feast of Saint John the Baptist — centres on communal beach bonfires in the Valencian Community. By popular custom, wading into the sea at midnight is said to bring purification and good luck. Reporting: Sagunto City Council official website.
