Canet d'en Berenguer Health Fair: 6 November, with more than 20 companies confirmed
Canet d'en Berenguer, in the Camp de Morvedre district, will hold its first Health, Wellbeing and Safety Fair on 6 November and invites businesses and organisations from across the district, including Sagunto.
Canet d'en Berenguer is preparing the first edition of its Health, Wellbeing and Safety Fair, to be held on 6 November. The town council wants to bring together companies, professionals, associations and institutions from the whole Camp de Morvedre district, so businesses and organisations from Sagunto and Puerto de Sagunto (coastal district) can take part as exhibitors.
As a first step, the council has called an information meeting for this Wednesday, 7 October, at 9:00 in the council chamber. It is aimed at organisations, groups and companies that want a space at the fair. According to elperiodic.com on 5 October, the meeting is open, so you do not need to be an already confirmed exhibitor to attend.
The fair will be free and open to all ages. Its programme will include presentations, activities, workshops and meetings on healthy habits, prevention and safety.
The mayor, Pere Antoni, said the aim is to make the event an annual date and for Canet to become a reference for healthy lifestyles. The health councillor, Miguel Ángel Albero, said the fair will bring residents resources, services, initiatives and professionals in health, wellbeing and safety. For this first edition the council wants above all to involve businesses and associations linked to health, wellbeing and prevention.
The call already has a strong response before the programme is closed. According to the council, more than 20 private companies have confirmed they will attend. About ten institutions and organisations will join them, including the Spanish Association Against Cancer and the Red Cross, plus representatives of several state security forces.
As this is the first edition, there are no attendance figures from previous years, and the published reports do not give the venue or the opening hours of the fair. The exhibitor numbers do give an idea of its size: adding the more than 20 companies to the ten or so institutions and organisations, the total comes close to thirty participants, before the programme is closed.
