Sagunto's mayor meets Monte Arse care home staff to strengthen ties
Mayor Darío Moreno met this Wednesday with Monte Arse director Tanya Luján and her team to discuss staffing and the range of needs the centre handles, one of the longest-running care facilities in the municipality.
The meeting, held this Wednesday 22 July at the Monte Arse residence, brought together Sagunto mayor Darío Moreno, centre director Tanya Luján, and four staff members from different areas. Monte Arse combines several specialised units -- mental health, behavioural disorders, and residential care for older people -- making it one of the municipality's longest-running and most complex care facilities.
During the meeting, staff explained the profile of residents, the make-up of the workforce, and the protocols used to handle the wide range of cases they face daily. Both sides agreed on the need to keep strengthening this institutional collaboration.
Monte Arse belongs to DomusVi, Spain's largest operator of care homes for older people and the third-largest in the European Union, with 158 centres nationwide. The Sagunto centre holds quality ratings above those of comparable facilities, and its management has pledged to keep it a reference point in the sector.
