Atlético Saguntino strengthens left flank with Marco Suárez signing
Coach Guillem Beltrán will have a new option for the left flank next season: Atlético Saguntino has confirmed the signing of defender Marco Suárez, 22, previously at CD Illescas.
The Sagunto club aims to repeat last season's level, when it finished the regular league in second place -just one point behind Castellonense- and reached the promotion play-off for Segunda Federación (fourth tier). To fight for the top places again, the club is now strengthening its left flank with Marco Suárez, a 1.80 m player who already has more than 90 official matches between youth and senior football, most of them in Tercera Federación, the fifth tier of Spanish men's football. His career includes spells at CD Azuqueca, CD Toledo B, CD Móstoles B and Rayo Ciudad Alcobendas, before joining Illescas last season. Atlético Saguntino (Sagunto's football club) also keeps Guillem Beltrán as coach and has already closed several contract renewals, in a season in which it hopes to get closer again to the heights reached in 2015/16, the only year it achieved promotion to Segunda División B after becoming champion of its group.
