Atlético Gilet brings together over 600 people at end-of-season party
The football club from Gilet, in the Camp de Morvedre district, closed its season on 27 June with a paella competition, awards and a family day that drew a remarkable crowd for a town of its size.
Atlético Gilet held its traditional end-of-season party on Saturday, attracting more than 600 people — players, coaches, families and supporters. The turnout is particularly striking given that Gilet has roughly 4,000 inhabitants, meaning about 15% of the entire town gathered in one place. The centrepiece was a paella competition among the youth academy teams, with around 25 dishes cooked on site. The programme included bouncy castles, a mechanical bull and live music that kept the celebration going well into the night. A formal tribute honoured players, coaches and club volunteers for their commitment during the season, and every youth-academy participant received a gift as a token of appreciation.
