School upgrades under Pla Edificant programme progress at three Puerto de Sagunto primaries
Sagunto City Council is carrying out improvements at three public primary schools in Puerto de Sagunto (coastal district) under the Pla Edificant regional programme, with a combined investment of over 2.2 million euros.
Three public primary schools in Puerto de Sagunto are mid-works as part of the Pla Edificant, the Valencian Government's programme to renovate infrastructure in state-run infant and primary schools (CEIP — centres for children aged 3 to 12). Mayor Darío Moreno and Education Councillor Raúl Palmero led a delegation to inspect progress on site.
At CEIP Baladre, works cover the electrical system, accessibility, heating in the infant building, the primary playground and the 2-to-3-year-old classroom, with a budget of 903,909 euros. CEIP Maestro Tarrazona is receiving a full overhaul of its electrical and heating systems at a cost of 1,144,024 euros. CEIP Cervantes is getting a revamped playground and a new lift to improve accessibility, budgeted at 208,336 euros. All three projects are expected to wrap up in the final quarter of 2026.
The total Pla Edificant investment across four schools in Puerto de Sagunto — including CEIP Montíber, where works worth 1,518,942 euros have yet to begin — reaches 3,775,211 euros. These school improvements are part of a programme for children aged 3 to 12 in state-funded compulsory education. This is reported by the Sagunto City Council website.
