The Federation of Falles of Sagunto (FJFS) has appointed 1700 Indumentaria and Segles Indumentaria as the official designers of traditional Valencian costumes for its Falleres Majors and Corts d'Honor in 2027.

At Monday's meeting of fallas commission presidents held at the Museu Faller in Sagunto, the FJFS named the artisan firms that will dress its top representatives in 2027. 1700 Indumentaria, led by Jorge Faubel — whose family tradition of craftsmanship dates to the 1950s — won the contract for the adult Falleres Majors; Faubel previously dressed the Corts d'Honor and Falleres Majors of Valencia in 2013 and 2014. Segles Indumentaria, a Valencia firm founded in 2017 specialising in bespoke hand-crafted traditional Valencian dress, was selected for the junior category; it has already made costumes for the Falleres Majors Infantils of Valencia in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

The tender ran from 8 to 25 May; four candidates competed for the adult contract while Segles was the only applicant for the junior one. Both firms must deliver the first official gown and the long-sleeve bodices for the Crida ceremony.

The FJFS coordinates thirty fallas commissions in Sagunto, Port de Sagunt (coastal district), Gilet and Faura, with around 6,000 active participants. The Falles festival has been inscribed on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list since 2016. According to the Federació Junta Fallera de Sagunt.
