CD Acero renews Jeremías Perotti to face the challenge of Tercera Federación
CD Acero of Puerto de Sagunto (coastal district) and Argentine winger Jeremías Perotti, known as "El Galgo" (The Greyhound), have agreed to continue together for the 2026/27 season.
CD Acero has confirmed the renewal of Argentine winger Jeremías Perotti after the player delivered an outstanding campaign in the Lliga Comunitat (sixth tier of Spanish football). Perotti scored 8 goals and added 4 assists, establishing himself as one of the team's key attacking threats with his pace and ability to make a difference in the final third.
Perotti will now join the club's step up to the Tercera Federación (3ª RFEF — Spain's fifth division), a competition created in the 2021-22 season to replace the old Tercera División, bringing together 324 clubs across 18 groups. The promotion represents a significant jump in competitive level and raises the club's profile across the Camp de Morvedre district.
CD Acero was founded in 1919 as Sporting Club in Puerto de Sagunto and adopted its current name after the Civil War in tribute to the local iron and steel industry. The club plays its home matches at the Municipal El Fornás stadium, which holds 5,002 spectators.
