Atlético Saguntino renews seven players for the 2026-2027 season
Atlético Saguntino has confirmed the renewal of seven players from last season and will again be coached by Guillem Beltrán in 2026-2027.
The Sagunto side is starting to take shape for 2026-2027 under coach Guillem Beltrán. Captain Kike Torrent extends his stay at the club: the defender enters his ninth consecutive season with Atlético Saguntino and needs just one more match to reach 250 official appearances, a figure that underlines his standing in the dressing room. Diego Huesca continues as first-choice goalkeeper after a season in which he played 24 matches and conceded 19 goals. Up front, 24-year-old Sergio Magariño, the club's top scorer with eight goals and eight assists, remains alongside 21-year-old Marc Palomero, who closed the league with strong performances. Diego Climent will keep providing balance in midfield, while 22-year-old Sergio Martínez will no longer split his time between football and studies in the United States. Gastón Alonso rounds out the group for his work rate winning back the ball. These seven renewals follow a season in which the club -founded in 1922 and based since 1977 at its own ground, the Nou Camp de Morvedre- came close to direct promotion, finishing one point off top spot in Tercera Federación (Spain's fifth tier) Group VI before losing in the play-off to La Nucía.
