Valencia's public broadcaster dedicates Friday 10 July's episode to the patron-saint festival of Benavites, in Camp de Morvedre, alongside two other towns.

À Punt, the Valencian public television channel, will air a new episode of Terra de festes ("Land of festivals") this Friday 10 July at 21:45, covering three popular celebrations in the Valencian Community, including the patron-saint festival of Benavites in Camp de Morvedre. Presenter Berta Báidez will follow the preparation in Benavites of the calderas, a traditional beef stew cooked in honour of Santa Paula and shared among neighbours after a blessing, while mayor Carlos Gil reviews a festival mixing religious events, music and contests. Reporter Ernesto Peretó will cover the xopà, a street water fight, and the closing costume parade. The programme also travels to the Hogueras (bonfire festival) of Sant Joan d'Alacant, with its fireworks display and bonfire burning, and to Sant Joan de Moró, in Castellón province, which features a foam party and a bull-running event. Benavites, a small town of 4.3 km² and 652 residents, has been led by mayor Gil since 2011. À Punt has broadcast mainly in Valencian since it relaunched in 2018, working with the Valencian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces.
