Mayor Darío Moreno Lerga closed Sagunto's 2026 Fallas cycle with a public farewell to Ana, Fallera Mayor, and Noa, Fallera Mayor Infantil.

With the end of the 2026 Fallas festival season in Sagunto, Mayor Darío Moreno Lerga published a message on social media thanking the two official representatives of the celebrations: Ana, Fallera Mayor (the festival's senior queen), and Noa, Fallera Mayor Infantil (the junior queen). The mayor praised both for carrying out their roles with dedication and genuine affection for local traditions, and wished that the memories of this year would stay with them forever. He also acknowledged the members of their respective Courts of Honour, who had accompanied and supported Ana and Noa throughout the year-long cycle. The Fallas festival is a cornerstone of cultural life in Sagunto and the wider Camp de Morvedre comarca (district). The tradition was inscribed on UNESCO's list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2016 (UNESCO, 2016), giving special significance to each annual handover.
