CD Acero locks in key players ahead of return to Tercera RFEF
CD Acero from Puerto de Sagunto (coastal district) has secured three squad members from its promotion campaign and signed its first new player ahead of the 2026-27 season in Tercera RFEF.
Following their title win in the Grup Nord of Lliga Comunitat (regional fifth-tier league), CD Acero is building its squad for Tercera RFEF — the fifth level of Spanish football, established in the 2021-22 season to replace the old Tercera División. The club has confirmed that Jeremías Perotti, an Argentine winger who scored 8 goals and provided 4 assists last season, will stay on. Midfielder Yas and top assist provider Gyampoh have also renewed their contracts. The club's first signing is Hugo Pérez, an attacking midfielder from Quart de les Valls who trained in the Villarreal CF youth academy and later played for Nacional del Canet. Manager Rubén Furió will lead the team at Estadio Municipal El Fornás — a ground with a 5,002-seat capacity — where Acero sealed promotion with a 5-1 win over Manises CF. The club had not competed in national football for two seasons following their relegation. Source: Golsmedia.
