BM Morvedre finish runners-up at national Under-14 girls handball Top-8 in Sagunto
Balonmano Morvedre reached the final of the national Top-8 Under-14 girls handball tournament held at the Pabellón René Marigil sports hall in Sagunto, finishing second after losing to Aula Valladolid.
The Pabellón René Marigil sports hall in Sagunto hosted the Top-8 Under-14 girls handball tournament, the national finals gathering the eight best clubs in this youth category, organised by the Royal Spanish Handball Federation (Real Federación Española de Balonmano). Balonmano Morvedre had an outstanding weekend, fighting back from difficult positions and advancing all the way to the final, where they met strong favourites Aula Valladolid. Despite losing the decisive match, Morvedre earned the silver medal with a runner-up finish that highlights the quality of their youth academy. Head coach Juan Ignacio García summed up the weekend with pride — for how his players competed, their team spirit and an exemplary season. The Pabellón René Marigil, opened in 2006 and named after cyclist René Marigil De Mingo (1928–2009), holds 600 spectators and is managed by Sagunto City Council. According to the club's Facebook page, Sagunto once again confirmed its status as a go-to host venue for top-level youth handball in Spain.
