CD Acero signs midfielder Hugo Pérez for the 2026/27 season
CD Acero from Puerto de Sagunto (coastal district) have signed offensive midfielder Hugo Pérez, a product of Villarreal CF's youth academy, ahead of their campaign in the Tercera Federación (fifth tier of Spanish football).
Hugo Pérez joins CD Acero from Quart de Les Valls, where he continued his development after finishing his youth career at Nacional del Canet. He was originally trained at Villarreal CF's academy — a top-flight club founded in 1942 and winner of the UEFA Europa League in 2021.
The club describes him as a dynamic, attack-minded central midfielder with pace and the ability to arrive in the penalty area, qualities the coaching staff see as key to raising the team's competitive level.
The Tercera Federación, created in the 2021-22 season to replace the old Tercera División, is the fifth tier of Spanish men's football. It consists of 18 groups of 18 clubs each, with 27 teams promoted to the Segunda Federación every season. CD Acero, based in Puerto de Sagunto, aims to continue growing at this level.
