Malena renews with CD Acero for the 2026/27 season in Primera Regional Valenta
CD Acero (Puerto de Sagunto, coastal district) has confirmed that Malena, the women's team midfielder and captain, will continue with the club in the Primera Regional Valenta (regional women's football league) for the 2026/27 season.
CD Acero, the women's football club from Puerto de Sagunto, is consolidating its sporting project with the renewal of Malena — described by the club as its compass: the midfielder brings control, character, balance, and quality to a team that will rely on her leadership in the centre of the pitch next season.
The club announced the continuation via social media, underlining her role as a symbol of the team's identity and ambition. CD Acero takes its name from the Altos Hornos de Vizcaya (Basque steelworks), the industrial company that drove the development of Puerto de Sagunto from the early 20th century onwards. The club was founded in 1919 as Sporting Club and its home ground, Municipal El Fornás, holds 5,002 spectators.
The women's section competes in the Primera Regional Valenta, a category that allows the club to develop its own identity in local women's football. According to CD Acero Sagunto (Facebook), the project moves forward with clear ambition for the coming campaign.
