Sagunto's social services kick off 'En moviment' for inclusion and jobs
The Sagunto City Council is rolling out 'En moviment', a 200-hour itinerary for around fifteen people in vulnerable situations that will run from May to December.
The Social Services Department is steering the initiative, designed for households receiving the Valencian Inclusion Income (Renta Valenciana de Inclusión Social) and the national Minimum Vital Income, plus other groups that face hurdles getting into work. Sessions cover the body and physical activity, looking after everyday spaces, personal image and emotional well-being, with creative group work meant to shore up confidence, day-to-day coexistence and readiness for the labour market. The schedule unfolds across the year — with a break in August — and places are filled through internal referrals by the department itself. The project draws on the European Social Fund Plus (FSE+) Comunitat Valenciana 2021-2027, the EU's main tool for investing in people, with a total budget of 88 billion euros (Wikipedia).
