Sagunto writer Jorge Peris will present his novel Enter Lia, written in Valencian, on 25 October in Benifairó de les Valls (Camp de Morvedre).

On Sunday 25 October, the III Fira de Proximitat (local fair) in Benifairó de les Valls will include a literary presentation: Jorge Peris, a first-time author from Sagunto, will introduce Enter Lia there, his second novel, written in Valencian. Benifairó de les Valls is a village in the Camp de Morvedre district, the same comarca as Sagunto.

Enter Lia follows Memorias de un niño inocente, Peris's first book. Both titles are self-published: the author himself has handled revising and preparing the manuscript, editing it, distributing it and promoting it. In practice, that means no publishing house does this work for him, and presentations such as the one on 25 October let him deal directly with readers.

The fair takes place in a small municipality of 2,359 residents according to the INE (Spain's national statistics institute) figures for 2025, whose economy rests on handling and processing farm produce. That profile fits the spirit of a local fair, where things made close to home take centre stage.

The village also has a history of its own. It was left almost empty after the expulsion of the Moriscos in 1609, and it is the birthplace of Alonso Sánchez Coello, court painter to Philip II.

The announcement does not say at what time or in which space Peris will present the book within the fair, or where copies can be bought; the Fira organisers will have to confirm those details. The outlet that reported the news takes the opportunity to call for support for young writers and local authors, and to wish Peris a warm reception for Enter Lia among readers. According to El Periódico de Aquí, with additional data from Wikipedia on Benifairó de les Valls.
