ASECAM and Caixa Popular have just signed a new agreement designed to give businesses in Camp de Morvedre better access to financial tools. It was signed by ASECAM president Cristina Plumed and Caixa Popular general director Alicia Soler, extending a working relationship that already spans more than twenty years. This is no ordinary partnership: Caixa Popular was founded in 1978 precisely as a second-tier credit cooperative, with Valencian cooperatives from different sectors built into its own capital structure — an origin that explains why it counts as one of ASECAM's member businesses, not merely as one of its financial providers. Under the agreement, member businesses and their staff will be able to access financing on favourable terms, aimed at covering investment, liquidity and growth needs across the district's different productive sectors.
