Puçol plans a summer with the Vuelta, beach cinema and a solar market
The 'Estiu Voramar 2026' programme fills Puçol beach with activities until August, with stage 8 of the Vuelta a España starting there on the 29th as the highlight.
Puçol, a coastal town neighbouring the Camp de Morvedre district (the area around Sagunto), has unveiled the new edition of 'Estiu Voramar', its municipal programme of leisure, culture and sport on the seafront, running from 1 July to 31 August. The calendar highlights three main events: the passage of the Vuelta a España cycling race, a solar eclipse, and the Sol Market festival. The biggest date is 29 August, when Puçol beach hosts the official start of stage 8 of the Vuelta, a flat 176.4-kilometre route to Xeraco with international TV coverage. That same stretch of coast, rebuilt with fine sand and a promenade over two kilometres long, holds a Blue Flag award. In August, the Sol Market also arrives, with food trucks, crafts and live music. The free daily programme includes yoga, pilates, dance-fitness, zumba, open-air summer cinema on the sand, concerts, environmental workshops and stargazing sessions. Support comes from the Biblioplaya (beach library), the seafront Tourist Office and the Beach Health Centre, whose medical clinic will reportedly stay open all year round, as announced days earlier. Full details are available at the Tourist Office and on the town council's digital channels. According to El Periódico de Aquí.
