Sagunto City Council holds its ordinary July plenary session this Thursday, 2 July, at 17:00, with 13 agenda items and a live broadcast on YouTube and social media.

The full council meets in ordinary session with an agenda covering public contracting, tourism, budgets and motions from all political groups. Among the most notable items is the award of the urban public transport concession contract and a revision of the statutes of the Red de Juderías – Caminos de Sefarad (Network of Jewish Quarters of Spain). Sagunto belongs to this heritage association thanks to its medieval Jewish quarter, active from the 1st–2nd century AD and one of the most important in the Kingdom of Valencia until 1492, when around 700 residents went into exile; the site still preserves a mikveh and a nearly five-hectare necropolis.

On urban infrastructure, PP calls for a drinking-water fountain network and IP proposes surfacing the beach car park. On heritage, Vox seeks to list the Casas de Queralt as a protected cultural asset and Compromís per Sagunt brings a motion to mark the 750th anniversary of the death of King James I of Aragon, who died on 27 July 1276. The same group also demands that the Port Authority of Valencia (APV) open Puerto de Sagunto to the city. The session is streamed live on the council's YouTube channel.
