Over 100 staff ensure safety and cleanliness on Sagunto's beaches this summer

Mayor Darío Moreno has confirmed that safety, cleaning and lifeguard operations are fully active on Sagunto's municipal beaches for the 2026 summer season.

Sagunto City Council has deployed its full 2026 beach operation. More than 100 workers are spread across safety, cleaning, lifeguarding and accessible-access services at Puerto de Sagunto (coastal district), Almardà and Corinto beaches.

The lifeguard service runs 55 professionals — including coordinators, boat operators, lifeguards and July-August reinforcements — backed by 4 boats, 5 quad bikes and 2 ambulances; hours are 10:00–20:00 in June, extended to 21:00 in July and August. The Municipal Beach Police (Policía Local de Playas) adds 11 officers, 5 quads, 2 off-road vehicles and a patrol boat across all four municipal beaches through 6 September.

Accessible beach points for visitors with disabilities and a reinforced coastal cleaning service are also in place. Mayor Darío Moreno stated that the combined operation is designed so that residents and visitors can enjoy the beaches with complete peace of mind.
