BM Morvedre's under-16 girls reach the Spanish national Top 8
The female cadet (under-16) team of Club Balonmano Morvedre (Sagunto handball club) has qualified for the Top 8 of the Spanish Cadet Championship, earning a place among the best eight clubs in the country.
BM Morvedre's under-16 girls team will travel to Valladolid to compete in the Top 8 of the Spanish Female Cadet Championship — a milestone that sporting director José Bonet credits to months of quiet, collective hard work. Head coach Mari Gómez points to the group's defining traits: bravery, discipline and team spirit that have made every game a statement of intent. The squad travels to Valladolid with the ambition to enjoy the competition, learn and make their mark at the national level. The feat builds on a strong recent run: in the 2024-25 season, the club's cadet girls won the Spanish Minicopa in their category. BM Morvedre's senior side competes in the Liga Guerreras Iberdrola, the top tier of Spanish women's handball, playing home games at Sagunto's Pabellón René Marigil (capacity: 800).
