Art, Theatre and Music Fill Sagunto's Cultural Agenda This Week
Sagunto's Culture Department has scheduled two exhibitions, a book presentation, a theatre comedy and two concerts between 2 and 6 June.
Sagunto City Council's spring cultural programme offers five events across the week. On Tuesday 2 June, the Centro Cultural Mario Monreal hosts the opening of «La imagen a través del agua» (The image through water), a photography exhibition by José Luis Armero, on show until 27 June. Wednesday 3 June sees the launch of «Palomas por la paz» (Doves for peace) by the group La Tira de Dones at the Casa Municipal de Cultura, running until 26 June. That same evening, the literary series Diàleg de Llibres (Book Dialogue) features a presentation on the evolution of women in romantic fiction by Ruth M. Lerga and Olga Salar. On Friday 5 June, the theatre company Saga Producciones stages the comedy «Murder on the Orient Express», a stage adaptation of Agatha Christie's 1934 novel — one of the best-selling crime stories in history, translated into over 100 languages — with tickets at €9. On Saturday 6 June, the Big Band and Youth Band of the Unión Musical Porteña offer a free concert at the Teatro de Begoña, while Tarahone performs a charity concert in aid of ADACAM (local disability association) with tickets at €7.
