Albert Llueca steps down as Compromís local secretary in Sagunto for personal reasons
Albert Llueca, spokesperson and local secretary of Compromís (Valencian left-green coalition) in Sagunto, has resigned from his post citing personal reasons.
Llueca's departure from the local party leadership comes ahead of the run-up to the 2027 municipal elections. No further public details have been given about the circumstances behind the decision.
Compromís is a Valencian political coalition founded on 25 January 2010 with a left-progressive outlook, currently grouping four parties: Més-Compromís, Iniciativa del Poble Valencià, Verds Equo and Coalició Compromís. At the 2023 regional elections it won 14.51% of the vote and 15 seats in the Corts Valencianes. The party holds seats on Sagunto City Council.
The change in local leadership arrives at a sensitive moment for the organisation: Camp de Morvedre comarca is entering the electoral cycle ahead of 2027, with all parties in the early stages of building their structures and candidate lists. Source: elperiodic.com.
