Sagunto's Sants de la Pedra neighbourhood festival runs 5–14 June
The cultural association of the Sants de la Pedra neighbourhood has presented its annual street festival programme, running from 5 to 14 June with municipal support.
The Sants de la Pedra neighbourhood festival in Sagunto kicks off on Friday 5 June with a community dinner and retro music night; proceeds will go to the Pablito El Guerrero association. The weekend of 6-7 June features bullfighting events with cattle from the Álvaro Núñez, Guillamón, Enrique Domínguez and La Paloma farms. The second weekend, 12-14 June, packs in bolot (traditional Valencian skittles) and board game tournaments — entry requires donating one kilogram of non-perishable food — a charanga (street brass band) showdown, a paella competition with the People Band orchestra, children's activities and a trophy ceremony. The Councillor for Festivals and Popular Culture, Patricia Sánchez, underlined the City Council's support for neighbourhood celebrations. The festival receives a municipal grant through the Festivals and Popular Culture department. According to Sagunto City Hall, the programme has a strong following among local residents.
