The Camp de Morvedre business association ASECAM held its 2026 Annual General Meeting on 12 May with over 70 member companies and the backing of CEV Valencia president Eva Blasco.

The Camp de Morvedre (comarca) business association ASECAM gathered representatives from more than 70 member companies at the Les Panses restaurant in Albalat dels Tarongers for its annual review. President Cristina Plumed emphasised ASECAM's role as a network that channels the needs of local businesses to the relevant authorities and attracts technologically advanced projects to the territory. CEV Valencia president Eva Blasco praised the association, arguing that the comarca's success is the result of sustained effort rather than good fortune, and highlighted ongoing challenges including housing, talent and mobility. The meeting also featured a lecture by Professor Juan Luis Manfredi (University of Castilla-La Mancha) on the geo-economic impact of the Iran conflict on Spanish small and medium-sized enterprises. ASECAM was founded in 2000 and marked its 25th anniversary in January 2025 at the Canet d'En Berenguer auditorium. The CEV (Confederation of Valencian Community Businesses), established on 28 September 1977, brings together over 580 business organisations and is a member of both the CEOE (Spanish employers' confederation) and BusinessEurope. According to asecam.com, the assembly approved the financial balance and new budget unanimously.
