PowerCo and Chinese battery maker Gotion have signed the shareholder agreement for the Parc Sagunt gigafactory: 51% for the Volkswagen subsidiary and 49% for Gotion, with production now delayed to 2027.
Sagunto City Council has started a 240-hour training course in cleaning outdoor spaces and industrial facilities for 15 people, part of the municipal Itinerarios de Inclusión Social programme funded by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+, locally FSE+).
Chinese battery maker Gotion has become a shareholder in the gigafactory PowerCo is building at Parc Sagunt near Sagunto, taking a 49% stake with an investment that will reach 1,094 million euros (about 1.1 billion euros).
