ASECAM signs agreement with Valencian sustainability club CE/R+S
The Camp de Morvedre business association and the Club de Empresas Responsables y Sostenibles (CE/R+S), a Valencian sustainability network, have signed a framework agreement to promote sustainability and social responsibility among local businesses.
The agreement, signed by ASECAM president Cristina Plumed and her CE/R+S counterpart Amelia Navarro, aims to create shared value for businesses in the Camp de Morvedre district through more sustainable and innovative management models. The two organisations will jointly run workshops, meetings and training sessions on environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria, and will look for ways to collaborate on corporate volunteering, the circular economy and decarbonisation. ASECAM member companies will get special conditions to join the Valencian club, widening their network of sustainability contacts. ASECAM (Asociación de Empresarios del Camp de Morvedre), founded in 1999 as the district's business association, marked its 25th anniversary in January 2025 with an event at the Canet d'en Berenguer Auditorium. CE/R+S, for its part, was created in 2017 as the first regional business club dedicated to sustainability and now brings together around 40 companies across the Valencian Community. Plumed described sustainability as a key competitiveness factor for businesses, regardless of their size or sector. According to ASECAM.
