Música al Port Reaches Its 18th Edition with New Stage and Six Free Nights in Puerto de Sagunto

Puerto de Sagunto's summer festival expands this July with a second venue and offers symphony, jazz, flamenco, pop-rock and a reunion of 1960s local bands.

Eighteen editions in, Música al Port has established itself as the signature cultural event of summer in Puerto de Sagunto (coastal district). The 2026 programme runs from 4 to 25 July and introduces the most significant structural change in years: a second stage at the Nuestra Señora de Begoña school courtyard, alongside the traditional gardens of the Centro Cívico Antiguo Sanatorio. According to Councillor for Culture Ana María Quesada, audience numbers at some editions already exceed the original venue's capacity.

The line-up spans five genres. Symphony opens and closes the cycle, with pop-rock and flamenco in the middle weeks. The highlight of the new venue is a 17 July reunion of 1960s Port de Sagunto acts — Supermirafiori, Mars, Candy Vampires and La Fussión — reviving a chapter of local musical history.

On 18 July, the festival stages qualifying rounds for the 65th Festival Internacional Fundación Cante de las Minas — a flamenco competition held in La Unión, Murcia, since 1961 and recognised as a national tourist interest event since 1984. The cycle closes on 25 July with the Coro Almudáfer choir. According to elperiodicodeaqui.com.
