Sagunto social services launches employability workshop for 20 residents
Sagunto City Council's Social Services Department has started a new workshop, 'Caminen cap a l'ocupació' (Walking Towards Employment), aimed at improving job prospects for 20 local participants.
The Social Services Department of Sagunto City Council has launched two editions of the workshop 'Caminen cap a l'ocupació', developed by the municipality's social integration specialists and targeting 20 residents. The initiative is part of the Social Inclusion Pathways Programme, co-funded by the European Union through the FSE+ Comunitat Valenciana 2021-2027 scheme.
Participants build practical skills to improve their employability: communication, assertiveness, conflict resolution and teamwork. The programme also covers workplace habits, CV writing and interview preparation through realistic simulations.
The workshop aims to be a safe, motivating space that helps participants gain confidence and expand their opportunities for entering the job market. The European Social Fund Plus (FSE+) — the EU's main instrument for investing in people — has a budget of €142.7 billion for 2021-2027 and supports employment and social inclusion policies across Europe.
