Sagunto takes its beaches and heritage to the Zaragoza tourism fair
The Sagunto council’s tourism area attended ARATUR in Zaragoza over the weekend, aiming to attract travellers from Aragon and the rest of Spain.
Thousands of people walked through ARATUR, the tourism trade show held in Zaragoza, over the weekend, and the Sagunto municipality was among the exhibitors with its own counter. There it showcased its coastal options, cultural plans and historical legacy. Those who stopped by mostly asked about the seafront, the calendar of activities and the monuments; the dominant audience were retirees and family groups aged roughly between thirty and fifty. The presence was organised under the tourism brand promoted by the Valencian provincial institution, shared with towns such as Alboraya, Oliva, Cullera, Gandía, Tavernes de la Valldigna and Manises. For the municipal head of the area, Natalia Antonino, the Aragon event works as a yearly window onto one of the most loyal source markets for domestic tourism. According to the council on aytosagunto.es, also reported by elperiodic.com, the effort seeks to consolidate the town’s name beyond the Valencian Community.
