Spain's National Police have arrested twelve people and shut down two marijuana grow-houses after dismantling a drug-dealing network active in several towns across Camp de Morvedre.

A network dealing drugs across towns of Camp de Morvedre (a district in Valencia province) no longer exists: National Police officers shut it down in an operation that ended with twelve arrests and two indoor marijuana grow-houses shuttered. It began when investigators spotted suspicious drug-selling activity across various municipalities in the area.

Five raids on private homes were enough to track down nine men and three women, aged between 24 and 59, suspected of an offence against public health. Among the seized drugs were just over 12 kilograms of marijuana, around 75 grams of cocaine, 409 grams of hashish, fifty ecstasy pills, six grams of the pink variant known as tusi and three grams of ketamine; officers also recovered €2,230 in cash, a taser, a machete, other bladed weapons and precision scales.

The case falls under the Cuerpo Nacional de Policía (Spain's National Police, founded 1986), the only force with authority over such crimes in Spain. The operation spans sixteen municipalities and over 100,000 residents, with Sagunto as its capital — a sense of the real scale of the district where the network operated. According to El Periódico de Aquí, all twelve detainees have already been brought before a judge.
