Puçol Hosts Youth Employment Forum on Jobs, Housing and Emancipation
The Pactem Nord Consortium is bringing together trade unions, the regional jobs agency LABORA and the Universitat Politècnica de València to discuss youth unemployment and emancipation.
A public forum on youth employment and independent living takes place on 30 June at the Espai Jove in Puçol, a town bordering Sagunto to the south. The event is part of the Pactem Nord Consortium's 25th anniversary programme and addresses a pressing regional issue: youth unemployment in the Valencian Community reached 29.2% in Q4 2025, well above the national average of 23% and more than double the EU-27 average of 14.9%. Speakers include trade union representatives from CCOO and UGT, the director-general of LABORA (the Valencian Government's public employment and training service), a UPV professor specialising in housing and metropolitan areas, and the Consell Valencià de la Joventut (Valencian Youth Council). The forum opens at 09:00 with Puçol's mayor Paz Carceller Llaneza and is free to attend. Reported by El Periódico de Aquí.
