Sagunto City Council has announced the Port Pride Sagunt programme, a week of cultural and advocacy events running from 6 to 11 July in Puerto de Sagunto (coastal district).

The municipal LGTBIQ+ department has put together a varied schedule for Pride Week. On Monday 6 July at 18:30, the Casa Municipal de Cultura hosts a screening of Blue Jean, directed by Georgia Oakley, followed by a talk with Paula Peña and the Nautilus Cultural Association. On Thursday 9 July at 20:00, the Vía del Pòrtic archaeological site in plaza Antiga Moreria stages Nova Ona, a performative reading by the collective Les Concejales. On Friday 10 July at 19:30, plaza de la Concordia hosts Converses amb orgull, an open dialogue on diversity and rights featuring Liz Dust. The week closes on Saturday 11 July: the pride march sets off at 19:30 from the anchor roundabout along Avenida del Mediterráneo to the Puerto de Sagunto pier, with El Legado orchestra performing at 21:00. Mayor Darío Moreno described the week as a celebration for all of society. For context, Spain passed the so-called Trans Law in February 2023, allowing gender self-determination from age 16 without medical evaluation — the legislation underpins the advocacy dimension of this year's events. Full programme at the Ajuntament de Sagunt website.
