Spain's Ministry of Transport has put out to tender a 10.1-million-euro renovation of 7.3 kilometres of the A-7 highway between Museros and Sagunto, a stretch used daily by thousands of Camp de Morvedre residents.
Sagunto City Council is investing more than 500,000 euros to renovate playgrounds, accessibility, kitchens and classrooms at eight public schools, with work under way this summer at four centres so as not to disrupt the school year.
The CCOO health workers' union has denounced the deteriorating condition of facilities and equipment at Sagunto Hospital, and is demanding immediate investment from the regional health department, which serves 51 towns in the area.
