Playa Norte
playa · Puerto de Sagunto🏅 Bandera Azul 2026
Playa Norte, the most popular beach in Puerto de Sagunto, is one of the easiest Blue Flag beaches to reach near Valencia, sitting roughly 30 km north of the city. If you are new to the area, picture a classic urban Mediterranean beach: more than a kilometre of fine golden sand backed by a protective dune cordon, with the silhouette of Sagunto castle rising in the distance.
This is the town's flagship stretch of coast, and in 2026 it is the only one of Sagunto's four beaches to fly the Blue Flag without conditions, while the others sit beside regeneration works. The water is calm and shallow enough to be genuinely family-friendly, which makes it a reliable choice for a relaxed day out with children.
Because it runs right alongside Puerto de Sagunto, everything you need is close at hand. A lively seafront promenade is lined with restaurants and beach bars, and you will find parking plus bus and taxi links if you are coming from elsewhere. On the sand there are lifeguards, showers and toilets, wheelchair access, and sunbed and umbrella rental. If you would rather stay active than sunbathe, water sports such as paddle surf are easy to arrange.
With a 4.5-star reputation across thousands of reviews, Playa Norte is the natural first stop for anyone exploring the beaches near Valencia.

Great spot! Clean waters, life guards and lots of restaurant. Just remember the siesta time is from 3 pm till 8 pm 🕗 when they won’t serve food, just drinks.
One of the best beaches I've ever seen. It's wide, shallow and the sand is soft. It's less famous, because there is some industry around
Really well serviced beach
