Almardà beach sits just north of Puerto de Sagunto, around 30 km up the coast from Valencia, and it has long been a favourite for families looking for space to spread out. Semi-urban and reassuringly wide, it pairs calm waters with coarse golden sand and patches of gravel, the kind of relaxed, easygoing beach where children can paddle while you keep an eye from your sunbed.

Behind the sand, a dune cordon dotted with native vegetation separates the beach from the Almardà residential area, giving it a natural buffer and a pleasant sense of openness. That balance of nature and convenience is part of its appeal, and it is recognised with a Blue Flag awarded by ADEAC.

Getting here is straightforward. You can reach Almardà via the N-340 or AP-7 by car, or come on foot or by bus from Sagunto, and there are more than 100 parking spaces when you arrive. On the beach itself you will find lifeguards, accessibility features, showers, sunbed rental, a children's play area, and beach bars and restaurants for lunch or a long, lazy afternoon.

Holding a 4.4-star rating, Almardà is one of the most dependable family beaches near Valencia, with enough room and services to make a full day by the sea genuinely effortless.
